Hartley Family Portraits
Anya won a family portrait shoot I donated at an Open House, I met with them at their home for the portrait session. I was excited to capture family portraits as well as some fun family moments with her mother who is visiting from Russia. You can see the love of a father and son, the love of a mother and daughter, the love of a wonderful family!

Hi Nancy!
We viewed our photo session CD this morning, and we are very impressed and happy!
You did such a great job! I personally especially liked the pictures where you played with colors and light! They are so unique!
And you were so right about pictures where my mom is laughing – they came "real" and "natural".
So thank you very much once again for this wonderful photo session experience!

Baby Mikayla – Newborn Portraits
Mike and Lindsey invited me over last night to take some pictures of their daughter Mikayla, she was a natural for her first photo shoot (slept through most of it). What a sweet baby!!
First family picture! That pup is already a great guardian over Mikayla, she kept an eye on me

Addison is One and on the go!
I met with Addison (and her Mom) on Saturday for some “I’m One” portraits. She was on the go, as you will see, and we ran after her all over the park.
So happy and cute!
We got her to stop for just a moment…
and with Mom…

Three Sons – Occoquan Regional Park

Papson – Family Portraits
Yesterday, on my way home from visiting family in State College, Pennsylvania, I popped over to see a dear friend (I can’t call her an old friend because she is young enough to be my daughter); it was so nice to catch up on what’s been going on in our lives and I got a chance to meet her adorable son Caden.
Of course I brought my camera (don’t leave home without it).
Look at those blue eyes and cute smile. So sweet!!

Great Old Barn
There is a small rural corner in Woodbridge that has a big meadow and several old barns. I’ve noticed lately that the construction equipment is coming in and I know that means it will soon be gone as I have known it for over 25 years. I’ve gone there a few times in the past couple weeks to get some pictures at what I think is a great location. Anyone up for a quick pic at this soon to be gone rural location?

Fields of Wild Flowers
Today after work I took some time to take pictures of my granddaughter in one of the many fields of yellow wild flowers scattered all over the county!! We had fun and I just had to post some of the pictures, she is a cutie!!

Rory – Baby Portraits
Friday night I finally got to meet Rory, I took maternity pictures of his mother in May and have been looking forward to their visit back to Virginia for sometime now. Rory’s Daddy just left for a 1 year tour in Afghanistan, Jason you will be in our prayers!!

The Anderson Family!
Yesterday evening I met with the Anderson family for a photo shoot we have tried to schedule many times. Since they let me pick the location I chose a place that is so close we were able to walk there. It is one of the last corners not yet touched by the suburban sprawl. I know it will be gone soon and I have driven by it for so many years now wanting to explore and take pictures; such a great location. With the 4th of July just days away and a red, white and blue shed I thought it was a great spot for some July pictures. Family pictures are so fun; I had a great time with them!!
Ken and Jen will be celebrating their 20th anniversary this year!! Congratulations

Cherry Blossoms in Washington, DC
Thursday was the “peak” for the Cherry Blossoms in DC. I love going to the tidal basin to see the cherry blossoms, they are so BEAUTIFUL!! If you have not ever seen them you should go sometime in your lifetime. But I must warn you first; traffic is horrible, parking is none existent and there are a lot of people. With that said it is still worth it!!

Fredericksburg with Mary and Nikki
On Saturday, I had the opportunity to meet with sisters, Mary and Nikki, in downtown Fredericksburg to take family pictures. I have had the pleasure of watching both of them grow up into wonderful young ladies and now they are both Mom’s, it is so fun to watch them with their “babies”!! Nikki’s son Landen is turning one this month and Mary and her daughters are excited for Annabelle to join the family soon. I look forward to more photo shoots as this wonderful family grows

Winter Wonderland
I had four groups lined up for photo shoots today, needless to say the “blizzard of 2009” (23 inches of snow!!) put a stop to most of that. The Arnoto’s did make there way to the house with help of a four-wheel drive vehicle and I was able to capture some cute shots. Check out those smiling eyes!!

Fun in the Snow!
Derrick, a family friend, happen to be over for the weekend so I decided to take advantage of the first snow fall!! While out making snow angels and a snowman I took some fun shots.

Baby Portrait
I was asked by Amy to take a few pictures of her daughter Elle as a gift for her husband. Jeff is an Eagles fan so Amy wanted to surprise him with pictures representing his favorite football team. She then changed Elle into her christening gown. She looked like an angel and quickly fell asleep, what a sweet baby girl.
