I had a whirlwind weekend with a fun array of photo shoots.
A couple in love and dreaming of their destination wedding next year, a newborn that just came home from the hospital and his happy parents, a wonderful family, and a gorgeous young wife wanting to give her husband a gift of pictures. Here is a quick sneak peek, more to come as I get to the editing.

My Three Son’s, Family Portraits–Manassas, Virginia
Valerie asked me to meet with her after work last week to take pictures of her three son’s. Her oldest son is a Marine and he was home in the states visiting with his wife, perfect time to get some family pictures. These pictures were taken in Manassas, near the train station. You have a beautiful family Valerie!
Kelli and David–Engagement Session
After many weeks of bad weather and schedule conflicts I was Finally able to get together with Kelli and David for their engagement session. We met at an old house that I have been wanting to shoot at for a couple years now; with Kelli’s Dad’s old truck “old n blue” it was a perfect combination for this shoot.

Amanda and Dan – Old Town Alexandria
Old Town Alexandria is the location Amanda and Dan chose for their engagement session. I love Old Town, it offers so many options; mixing historic cobble stone streets and parks just blocks away from new modern buildings and sculptures.
Love this moment!
Thanks to Amanda and Dan for a wonderful evening, I wish you the best!!
Spring in Occoquan – Northern Virginia Photographer
I took a few friends to Occoquan Regional Park, on a beautiful spring day, for some portraits.

Lauren and Chris – E-Pics
Wednesday evening I met with Lauren and Chris in the town of Occoquan for their engagement pictures. It was a warm, beautiful evening and we had a good time exploring some of Occoquan’s old buildings and alleyways. As we were walking around we met a cat that seemed to take an interest in what we were doing and kept trying to get in the pictures; Chris called him Buttercup. Congratulations Lauren and Chris!!

Our friend and tour guide “buttercup”.
Sarah and David – Old Town Alexandria
I met with Sarah and David on Sunday in Old Town Alexandria for some fun couple pictures. David was a bit apprehensive, not quite sure what Sarah had gotten him into but he realize quickly that it was going to be painless and fun!! They are a very fun and loving couple, it was great meeting them.

Baby Palko !
Yesterday I went along with Liz to take some pictures of our mutual and good friend Erin and her “baby bump”. We met at Mary Washington University, in Fredericksburg and then went downtown . Erin and Rodger were great sports, when Liz and I get together we are known to come up with some interesting picture ideas. Below is just one of my favorites, for more pictures check out Liz Hough Photography at

The Anderson Family!
Yesterday evening I met with the Anderson family for a photo shoot we have tried to schedule many times. Since they let me pick the location I chose a place that is so close we were able to walk there. It is one of the last corners not yet touched by the suburban sprawl. I know it will be gone soon and I have driven by it for so many years now wanting to explore and take pictures; such a great location. With the 4th of July just days away and a red, white and blue shed I thought it was a great spot for some July pictures. Family pictures are so fun; I had a great time with them!!
Ken and Jen will be celebrating their 20th anniversary this year!! Congratulations

Grandma’s Dresses!!
Heather wanted some pictures in her Grandmother’s wedding dress. So it got me thinking and we pulled together a bunch of vintage items. Heather and Kristin’s shoes + Mom’s earrings + Grandma’s dresses, gloves and purses + Great-Grandmas necklaces, bracelets and pocket watch + Great-Great Grandmas blanket = a GREAT afternoon and 5 generations represented in 1 photo!

Another Photo Shoot with Kristin and Robel
Whenever I find an new and interesting location, I can always count on Kristin and Robel to be my models. I have been eyeing an old barn for almost a year now. The rain held off on Sunday and it was the perfect day. We walked away with a bunch of amazing pictures.

Occoquan Photo Shoot
I met with Nicole and Joey this evening for a photo shoot in the historic town of Occoquan. We had fun exploring the quiet town together and finding some fun nooks for what I think are some great pictures. I had fun Nicole and Joey, I will be thinking of you!!
