Busy Weekend…
I had a whirlwind weekend with a fun array of photo shoots.
A couple in love and dreaming of their destination wedding next year, a newborn that just came home from the hospital and his happy parents, a wonderful family, and a gorgeous young wife wanting to give her husband a gift of pictures. Here is a quick sneak peek, more to come as I get to the editing.
Halloween Photo Shoot–Northern Virginia Photographer
Do you want some fun, adorable, fall/Halloween pictures of your little pumpkin, ghosts or goblins? Photography by Zook will be doing a photo shoot this Saturday, October 29th from 10AM-2PM at Occoquan Regional Park. You will get a 20 minute session for $30. This will include a photo gallery of your pictures and then you can choose one picture that will be given to you on a disc. If you want more of your photos on the disc it will be $15 a photo!! Bring your child’s Halloween costume, or a cute outfit. Your child can sit in the pumpkin, stand near it or sit on it!!

Family Portraits – Northern Virginia Photographer
Sunday was a beautiful fall day and a wonderful day for family photo shoots. We met at Occoquan Regional Park. I always enjoy meeting with families and exploring the park with their kids.
Annabelle – Newborn Portrait Photographer
Annabelle was born just two weeks ago and already she was the perfect model, she was awake for most of our session but Mommy was able to soothe her to sleep for a few of the pictures. Congrats to the new parents… I hope you get some sleep! Here is your sneak peek…

Amanda and Dan – Old Town Alexandria
Old Town Alexandria is the location Amanda and Dan chose for their engagement session. I love Old Town, it offers so many options; mixing historic cobble stone streets and parks just blocks away from new modern buildings and sculptures.

Fort Washington Park–Fort Washington, Maryland
On my quest for new photo shoot locations I went to check out Fort Washington National Park just on the other side of the Potomac River. What a great historical site and a wonderful place for a great photo shoot. Can you picture yourself here? "Shoot me an email so we can set up your photo shoot!!
Mikayla is 6 months! – Northern Virginia Portrait Photographer
Saturday I met with Mikayla and her Mommy and Daddy at Occoquan Regional Park for some 6 month old portraits. It was a hot afternoon but she was all smiles and sweetness. So fun to watch you grow Mikayla, can’t wait to see you again…

Mike and Lindsey invited me over last night to take some pictures of their daughter Mikayla, she was a natural for her first photo shoot (slept through most of it). What a sweet baby!!

Papson – Family Portraits
Yesterday, on my way home from visiting family in State College, Pennsylvania, I popped over to see a dear friend (I can’t call her an old friend because she is young enough to be my daughter); it was so nice to catch up on what’s been going on in our lives and I got a chance to meet her adorable son Caden.
Of course I brought my camera (don’t leave home without it).
Look at those blue eyes and cute smile. So sweet!!

Kristina – Senior Portraits
I have known Kristina for a few years now, she is naturally photogenic and fun to work with! We went to Lake Ridge Park on the Occoquan Reservoir for her senior portraits. Kristina has been there many times because she is a member of Hylton Senior High Schools crew team going on 4 years now.

Fall Family Portraits
Fun, Fall, Family Photos with my Favorite Family!! That’s a tongue twister. I met up with my best friend and her family for some long overdue family photos. Fall is a great time for pictures; the beautiful trees provide a wonderful natural backdrop for portraits. Great smiles everyone, I had a hard time picking just a few for this sneak peek.

Kelsey – Senior Portraits
WoW, a Senior! Where has the time gone. Over the years, I have watched Kelsey grow up into a wonderful young lady. When it came time for senior portraits, of course I was excited.
Kelsey was recently voted Best Female Musician of her senior class. She is looking forward to college where she wants to major in Engineering. Kelsey I am so proud of you and ALL your accomplishments!! I wish you much success and fun in the coming years!!

Jennifer graduated in May from Old Dominion University! So Proud of you Jennifer, SMILE!!

Oh… what to do next…
Jenn is the youngest of my four daughter’s and with her college graduation behind us we are at “The End”… at least for now… (she may go back for her Masters)
Now that graduation is over, what will life hold for me? The possibilities are endless…

Lauren and Chris – E-Pics
Wednesday evening I met with Lauren and Chris in the town of Occoquan for their engagement pictures. It was a warm, beautiful evening and we had a good time exploring some of Occoquan’s old buildings and alleyways. As we were walking around we met a cat that seemed to take an interest in what we were doing and kept trying to get in the pictures; Chris called him Buttercup. Congratulations Lauren and Chris!!

Over the weekend I went to visit my niece and had the opportunity to take some senior portraits for her. Ali just started her senior year and is looking forward to college next year. This journey has just begun…
